AC Repair
across Central Florida.

When the AC stops keeping up, the first job is finding the real cause. Ventrix evaluates the system, explains the problem, and reviews the repair options before work begins.

Start with the right diagnosis

Understand the problem before choosing the solution.

Central Florida air conditioners run through long periods of heat and humidity. Electrical wear, restricted airflow, drainage problems, dirty components, and refrigerant issues can all produce similar symptoms.

A useful repair visit goes beyond replacing the first failed part. The system should be evaluated as a whole so you understand what failed, what may have contributed to it, and whether the repair is the sensible next step.

Call when your AC is doing any of these things

  • Blowing warm or room-temperature air
  • Running with weak or uneven airflow
  • Cycling on and off more than usual
  • Making new noises or producing unusual odors
  • Leaking water or showing ice on the equipment
  • Running continuously without reaching the thermostat setting

Service details

What an AC diagnostic may cover

The exact checks depend on the equipment and symptoms. A diagnostic can include the controls, electrical components, airflow, drainage, coils, and cooling performance.

01

Thermostat and controls

Confirm the call for cooling, system settings, safety controls, and operating sequence.

02

Electrical components

Check connections and common failure points that can stop the indoor or outdoor equipment.

03

Airflow

Evaluate the filter, blower operation, coils, returns, and other restrictions that can reduce comfort.

04

Cooling performance

Assess system temperatures and operation for signs of refrigerant or heat-transfer problems.

05

Condensate drainage

Inspect drainage concerns that can cause shutdowns, water leaks, or indoor damage.

06

Repair options

Explain the findings and available next steps before any approved repair moves forward.

Making the decision

Repair the problem—or know when replacement deserves a look.

A repair may be the right choice when the equipment is otherwise performing well and the issue is isolated. The age and condition of the system, repair history, comfort problems, and operating cost all matter.

When repairs are becoming frequent or the system no longer meets the property’s needs, Ventrix can help compare the immediate repair with a planned replacement. The decision stays with you.

Questions about ac repair

Useful answers before you schedule.

Have a question that is not listed? Call (352) 604-5735 and tell us about the property and equipment.

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

Possible causes include restricted airflow, a thermostat or control problem, a failed electrical component, frozen coils, or a refrigerant-related issue. Similar symptoms can have different causes, so testing the system is the safest way to identify the problem.

Should I turn the system off if I see ice or water?

Yes. If equipment is icing or leaking near electrical components or finished areas, turn the cooling system off and arrange service. Continuing to run it can worsen the problem.

How do I decide between repair and replacement?

Consider equipment age, overall condition, repair frequency, comfort, efficiency, and the cost of the current repair. Ventrix can explain both paths when replacement is a reasonable alternative.

Can commercial systems be diagnosed too?

Yes. Ventrix offers residential and commercial HVAC service. Share the property type, equipment information, and symptoms when requesting service so the visit can be prepared appropriately.
